Merry Christmas!

I couldn't resist doing a Christmas "photo shoot" of Maylee! It is so hard to get pictures of her now that she is always moving, but we were able to get a few. I love them!

THANKSGIVING...

Here are some pics from Thanksgiving. We went to Scott and Annette's house in California. We had a great time with family and even saw some good rain storms. Maylee was great with the traveling!

Laveen Turkey Trot

Jeff and I ran the 5K Turkey Trot on Nov. 22nd. It was my first race! We both reached our time goals! We had a good time. One of Jeff's co-workers was so nice and babysat Maylee for us at the finish line! I could get into doing more races ( I think I'll stick to 5Ks!) It was good motivation- I was running a lot more the closer we got to the date of the race and wanting to improve on my pace.

Maylee's BIG Day!

Maylee turned 5 months on Nov. 6th and decided it was time to bust out some new skills. It was an eventful day!

ROLLING OVER
I put her down for some tummy time and looked away for just a second. When I turned around she was on her back! Of course once I got the camera she wouldn't do it again, but we were able to catch it on video the next day. Check her out...



SITTING UP
She also started to sit up on her own (with supervision just in case she gets a little wobbly).


FIRST FEEDING

She was not (and still isn't) so sure about the rice cereal. I love the facial expressions she makes as she tries to figure out what she is supposed to do with it once it is in her mouth.

We dressed Maylee up for our ward fall festival. Some people got her confused with a cow but she was a dalmation!

Deep Fried Snickers?

Sounds pretty good, right? We were able to try one for the first time at the AZ State Fair. We weren't so impressed. It is basically a Snickers deep fried in a corn dog shell. I think I would just like the Snickers! Needless to say, the fair is always an interesting experience with all the food, rides, and people.

(It is a good thing Kati and Billy came along with us... I never would have gone on this ride with Jeff! Billy volunteered to stay behind and help me watch Maylee while they went on the ride.)

The best noise ever...

Shades

I love to take Maylee for walks during the day! However, she is not such a fan of the sun. She pretty much closes her eyes the whole time we are outside and then opens them once we get into the house- she's a little sensitive to the bright light!

I always felt bad taking her for walks if she never opened her eyes. I found these glasses on sale at Target and couldn't pass them up! I love them! She won't even pull them off... she must know how cute she looks! ;-)

GIRLS!

I went and stayed with my parents for a few days while Jeff was out of town with work. Since I had some extra help, I thought it would be fun to paint Maylee's toe nails. My mom held her while I painted. Of course I only got one foot done by the time she woke up and wanted to move. She went with one painted foot for a day until we were able to get the other one. I love tiny toes!

Finally finished!

I finally finished reading all four books of the Twilight series! Talk about addicting! I'm a little sad to be finished...they were so fun to read! Jeff kind-of made fun of me for reading books for teenage girls until he met ladies at work who were reading them as well (and pretty much every woman in the ward).

However, I guess it is a good thing since laundry and cleaning were pushed aside as I couldn't put the books down- life can go back to normal now. I can't wait for the movie!

First Photography Session

I'm a little slow in putting these up, but here are some pics that we got when Maylee was almost 3 months! She looks so deep in thought in the last picture.

She wasn't a fan of getting her picture taken in the studio. She cried most of the time but we were able to get a few good pics out of it. :-)

Our little lady is talking all the time now. It's the cutest! She loves to hear the sounds she can make all by herself.

Splish, Splash

For one of our weekly get-togethers, we went swimming at April's house. It was Maylee's first time to get all the way in the water (well... except her head).

Blessing Day

We blessed Maylee on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008. She has grown so much in the last month we were a little afraid that the blessing dress would be too small! Thankfully, it fit! She was so good for the blessing... she didn't even cry (Jeff was worried about that). It was fun to have family and friends join us- Bary and Kim made the 10 hour drive just for the weekend.

Let's Go D-Backs!

Maylee and Halle went to their 1st baseball game! They were great! Maylee was so intrigued with all the noise and lights, and hey, they even won!

Our Sleeping Beauty!

We went to check on her one morning and found her like this... I love how her foot is kicked up on the side and she is all sprawled out! I think it is time to move her to her crib- she looks a little too big for her bassinet now.

I thought she looked so cute sleeping on the bed. I laid her there while I was getting ready and she fell asleep. She looks like such a big girl!

San Diego trip

Maylee took her first trip! We went to San Diego for Eric's wedding. I was so scared for the 6 1/2 hour drive, but Maylee was awesome! She slept for most of the ride, with the exception of feeding times.

Not only was it her first trip, but also her first time to the beach and unfortunatley her first sunburn.

Eric and Angela were married on July 31, which is our anniversay as well! It was neat to be there four years later with Maylee!

We had a great time! It was the first time Jeff's family got to meet her.
Maylee was pooped on the way home!

One Month!

Our little lady is one month! She is getting cuter everyday. She loves falling asleep on us and sometimes we just can't resist taking a quick nap as well.

Fun with cousins

It is fun to live close to cousins. Robert and Cailin are so sweet with Maylee. Little Maylee and Halle are only a month apart. It will be fun to watch the grow up together...
